Reviews The Brass Teapot Movie and Watch Full HD Format

The Brass Teapot is a modern fable about money and the meaning of the American dream. Based on the comic book, The Brass Teapot is a feature film about John (Michael Angarano) and Alice (Juno Temple), who live in small down America. They are in their 20's, married, very much in love and broke. Once voted "Most Likely to Succeed," Alice struggles to make ends meet while her friends enjoy the good life. Her husband John, neurotic and riddled with phobias, just wants to get the bills paid. But an accident leads them to a roadside antique shop where Alice is spontaneously drawn to a mysterious brass teapot. It isn't long before they realize that this is no ordinary teapot and that perhaps they have found the answer to all of their financial woes. The Brass Teapot is a magical comedy that reminds us to be careful what we wish for. (c) Magnolia

Review For The Brass Teapot

Temple and Angarano, entertaining enough, never quite sell the idea that this goodhearted couple would be so easily transformed by greed.
Sara Stewart-New York Post

Without a human dimension to ground its construct, "The Brass Teapot" ultimately feels like an interminably stretched-out skit rather than a storybook lesson stained with blood and hurt.
Robert Abele-Los Angeles Times

Ms. Mosley, who directed from a screenplay by Tim Macy, struggles to fill her debut feature with a slender notion, but the premise defeats her, even if the story operates at the outset on the pleasure principle.
Joe Morgenstern-Wall Street Journal

The Brass Teapot too often devolves into stale slapstick ...
Stephanie Zacharek-NPR

There's not much depth to Mosley's debut, which is based on a short story by Tim Macy. But Michael Angarano and Juno Temple are an appealing pair as John and Alice, struggling suburbanites.
Elizabeth Weitzman-New York Daily News

Even The Twilight Zone would have struggled with the cutesy conceit of The Brass Teapot ...
Nick Schager-Village Voice

This oddball dark comedy might have made an amusing short film, but its one-note concept wears thin at feature length.
Todd Jorgenson-Cinemalogue.com

The screenplay falters, introducing ridiculous villains and featuring thorough lapses in logic in a blur of strained drama.
Robert Levin-amNewYork

Missing numerous layers of sickness, fearful of pushing a plot of pain on its audience, forcing them to study the complexity of unsavory desires with unlikable characters.
Brian Orndorf-Blu-ray.com

Wish-fulfillment black comedy engages through its winsome (if violent) premise and highly attractive leads, but shows some strain towards the end.
David Noh-Film Journal International

The story is set up and unfolds in a very subtle, nuanced manner that enriches each reveal.
Leland Montgomery-Paste Magazine

The Brass Teapot tries to force a moralistic, Twilight Zone-ish plot into an indie comedy, a task that proves impossible for first-time feature director Ramaa Mosley.
Josh Modell-AV Club

This dark comedy makes a few smart observations about the lengths people will go to snag the American Dream, but its satiric edge gets dulled rather quickly.
Tim Grierson-Screen International

If you happened upon "The Brass Teapot" on TV and it broke for a commercial, you'd probably change the channel.
Marshall Fine-Hollywood & Fine

Imbued with a buoyant mysticism, the film is more gag-friendly than idea-based, primarily relying on the considerable charm of its leads to ground its supernatural conceit.
Nick McCarthy-Slant Magazine

Review For Olympus Has Fallen

The thrills and the effects are cheap, but this is in hard-driving, good-humoured command of its own silliness.
Guy Lodge-Time Out

This ludicrous actioner strives to be as loud, violent, and patriotic as possible.
Drew Hunt-Chicago Reader

Fuqua doesn't deliver on what he has set up.
David Denby-New Yorker

Olympus Has Fallen is a disgusting piece of work, but it certainly hits its marks - it makes you sick with suspense.
David Edelstein-Vulture

The carnage is cruel and crude.
David Edelstein-New York Magazine

A typical slab of Hollywood action in which the White House crumbles under attack, the American flag is tattered and tossed aside by baddies, and clichés rise like gods.
Robert Abele-Los Angeles Times

Butler's presence makes perfect sense. He's an empty, mindless vessel. Just like his movie.
Al Alexander-The Patriot Ledger

A fiery pile of turdy dialogue, turgid action, and xenophobic boosterism for the frequently 'God bless!'-ed US of A. This movie's so stupid, the only suspense it offers is if your brain can avoid falling into a coma before the screen finally goes to black
Brian Gibson-Vue Weekly (Edmonton, Canada)

Provided you can handle such deliberate over-kill in the chaotic swirl that goes on here, Olympus Has Fallen offers a super-sized serving of grit-tinged fantasy action guaranteed to satisfy those who don't mind splatter over style.
Jim Schembri-3AW

In reinventing an old tale in a smart and engaging way, it's a thoroughly entertaining and often riveting way to spend two hours.
Christopher Lloyd-Sarasota Herald-Tribune

With guns blazing and spouting one-liners, Gerard Butler revels in being the tough guy and leads a decent cast, with all-American Aaron Eckhart a worthy addition to the hallowed list of movie presidents.
David 'Mad Dog' Bradley-Rip It Up

Olympus Has Fallen is the stupid, dark fantasy of backward white trash America that needs another domestic threat to trigger war.
Blake Howard-2UE That Movie Show

Gruesome, cliché-ridden terrorist attack on the White House actioner has a lot of energy to go along with its relentless and well-choreographed carnage.
Bruce Bennett-Spectrum (St. George, Utah)

t's a terrible action film but a brilliant piece of North Korean propaganda. The American characters act so stupidly that you're pretty much rooting for Kim Jong-un. THAT'S HOW BAD IT IS.
Marc Fennell-Triple J

There's a single line of dialogue that interrogates America's sanctions against some of the poorest people in the world. And who said this kind of thing couldn't be thought provoking?
Ed Whitfield-The Ooh Tray

The movie is preposterous, paranoid, solemn and - though not I think intentionally - something of a laughing matter.
Philip French-Observer [UK]

What the studio's calling 'an action movie' - the Secret Service will call 'a comedy'.
Tom Glasson-Concrete Playground

As bystanders get mown down, the Washington monument topples and the Stars and Stripes is shredded, the onslaught delivers a real taboo-busting frisson... the sequence would pack an even bigger punch if the CGI special effects weren't quite so cheesy.
Jason Best-Movie Talk

Having stayed up much of the night to watch the hunt for, and ultimate take down, of Suspect 2 in the Marathon Bombings, it was particularly distressing to watch this vile abomination of a movie whose "relevance" only adds to its dishonor.
CJ Johnson-ABC Radio (Australia)

Whether Hollywood is right to keep prodding North Korea simply because it's not a valuable trading partner, only time will tell.
Graham Young-Birmingham Mail

Antoine Fuqua is a dependable action director whose talents will never be maximised while the 1980s continue to be over.
Tara Brady-Irish Times

As this massive blockbuster thriller progresses, it's impossible not to become amused by how ridiculous its script becomes.
Rich Cline-Contactmusic.com

Reactionary fantasy, then - but what else are action films for?
David Sexton-This is London

Some will find it ridiculously entertaining. I found it entertainingly ridiculous. Either way, it's a guilty pleasure.
Christopher Tookey-Daily Mail [UK]

Olympus Has Fallen may be pure Hollywood hokum but it remains tense, exciting and credible enough right through to the suspenseful climax, even if the dialogue is laughable at times.
Henry Fitzherbert-Daily Express

A movie that looks like a Die Hard film, feels (sporadically) like a Die Hard film, but lacks the wit and coiled adrenaline that made that series' debut a classic.
Chris Buckle-The Skinny

Review For Not Today

Jon Van Dyke's "Not Today" doesn't qualify as a good movie, but it's built on an admirable foundation of good intentions.
Sean O'Connell-Washington Post

Writer-director Jon Van Dyke offers rugged production values, and his real agenda - getting Christian viewers to help end sex trafficking - mires the movie in self-conscious angst and speeches.
Tom Keogh-Seattle Times

Touching and Important
Diana Saenger-ReviewExpress.com

Vitally important theme unstrung by shaky direction, writing and acting and a major flaw in subtitling.
David Noh-Film Journal International

Well-intentioned, but slow, with no urgency and a lot of preaching.
Roger Moore-Movie Nation

This compelling, modern morality play marking the noteworthy directorial debut of Jon Van Dyke amounts to a searing indictment of India's shameful caste system for its enslavement of females based on the color of their skin.
Kam Williams-Sly Fox

Review For The Last Stand

The movie's tongue in cheek humor will buy off most of the target audience. And Arnie? He's indestructible.
Tom Charity-CNN.com

Schwarzenegger can still hold the screen, but these days he grinds through his one-liners like a truck driver taking a steep hill ...
Anthony Lane-New Yorker

The result is diverting enough for a low-expectations Friday night, but the ingredients were in place for something more.
Tom Huddleston-Time Out

Not the most iconic choice for Schwarzenegger to announce that he's back, but not one that's completely prefab, either.
Tom Russo-Boston Globe

Director Jee-woon Kim (I Saw the Devil) handles the action sequences effectively if not spectacularly, though The Last Stand could have dispensed with the occasional attempts at sobriety and cut straight to the chase (or chases).
Connie Ogle-Miami Herald

The script is a mess, built on lazy clichés, stilted jokes and easy payoffs. What the movie does have, though, is enthusiasm.
Elizabeth Weitzman-New York Daily News

There are echoes here of Howard Hawks' classic 1959 Western Rio Bravo, in which John Wayne played a similarly beleaguered sheriff trying to prevent a jailbreak with the aid of a bunch of misfits.
Jason Best-Movie Talk

A throwback action movie that invokes 1980s nostalgia in all the right ways.
John Serba-MLive.com

The Last Stand is a fast-paced, action-heavy throwback, shot with a fluid visual eye by Kim Jee-Woon. Arnold Schwarzenegger is back and better than ever.
Jeremy Lebens-We Got This Covered

As action movies go, it's okay. There are some good ideas underneath and an attempt develop them, but only an attempt. And though time has moved on, Schwarzenegger himself hasn't. As a hero's triumphal return goes, it's more of a whimper.
Joshua Starnes-ComingSoon.net

This is the kind of action film you've seen before done better, and while the technological aspects may be more polished than most, the theatrical experience still feels considerably small-screen.
Mark Zhuravsky-The Playlist

Arnie lurches through the film with a kind of defiant dignity, his signature mixture of self-effacing humour and good ol' tough talk allowing us to buy into the kind of big-screen hero he made us fall in love with all those decades ago.
Jim Schembri-3AW

Director Jee-woon Kim (I Saw the Devil) knows how to fill up the screen, surround his megastar with economy-sized murders, car chases, billowing blood-clouds and goofiness.
Dave White-Movies.com

The film, though underdeveloped, is rife with big guns, flippant one-liners, improbable battles, high-octane car chases and way too much testosterone - all the hallmarks of a classic Schwarzenegger film.
David 'Mad Dog' Bradley-Rip It Up

Schwarzenegger, now 65, hasn't lost his one amazing gift for being a movie's worst actor and best asset
Luke Buckmaster-Crikey

...it's refreshing to watch a film that wants to be nothing more than a blood-soaked accompaniment to beer and pizza.
Adam Ross-The Aristocrat

The gimmick of Schwarzenegger's return to cinema wears off quickly. A bland bullet riddled excuse for an action flick.
Cameron Williams-The Popcorn Junkie

The Last Stand sees bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger return to the big screen following an eight-year term as Governor of California, because that is the reality we now occupy... A fun, dumb, enjoyable, dumb, mostly well performed, super dumb film.
Simon Miraudo-Quickflix

Mindless, dumb fun as Arnie grunts a few one liners and tries to terminate an escaped drug lord who's in a fast car and heading for freedom.
Simon Weaving-Screenwize

Resembling more the 'Austrian Oak' with each passing year, Arnold Schwarzenegger still manages to make a big, bloody fist of the archetypal action-hero in Kim Jee-woon's The Last Stand.
Simon Foster-Screen-Space

Sensational action, bloody violence, goofy humour and Arnie as the small town Sheriff - it's all there, and the larger than life 65 year old Austrian superstar continues to fill every inch of the screen
Louise Keller-Urban Cinefile

Despite some graphic violence and even though it is really silly, this is an entertaining action film showing that Arnold Schwartzenegger has not lost any of his charm.
Tony Medley-Tolucan Times

Surely the former governor of the state could have come across a better script for his return to the big screen in a starring role.
Lori Hoffman-Atlantic City Weekly

The Last Stand doesn't find [Schwarzenegger] in peak form, but it'll suffice as a sturdy exhibition of his talents.
Mark Pfeiffer-Reel Times: Reflections on Cinema

The whole point is to cheer as guns are fired, cars are crashed and blood is shed -- not pausing to ponder what a guy with an Austrian accent is doing as sheriff of a Mexican border town in the first place.
Todd Jorgenson-Cinemalogue.com
